Yaldah, in Hebrew means “girl.” And in our house, girls ROCK! Via a bloggity neshama tovah (good soul) I know, Juggling Frogs, I found about about the “Sometimes Stories” contest – a variety of teens doing various projects who have entered to win money from Wells Fargo bank to further the projects.
Leah is one of those contestants. She made the finals, and she started ON HER OWN a teen magazine for Jewish girls, called simply:Yaldah. Catchy, no? And she needs our support, so she can continue her amazing hard work, and continue the publication, well into the time that Malka will be ready to read the magazine. We WANT this magazine to be around when Malka becomes a tween.
So go on and vote, would ya? Thanks!

I just tried to go vote and Leah wasn’t listed as a finalist ; (
Thanks for the kind words, Shelly, and for spreading the word. Today’s the last day, and she’s in first place, with four hours left!
Amy,
Leah is a minor (the only one in the contest) so she had to be listed under her mother, Evelyn’s name.
A vote for Evelyn in MA is a vote for Leah and Yaldah Magazine.
